I have to admit that i am a kind of easy-influenced-by-people person. So, when one of my friends introduce me this songs, i fall in love with it. Try to hear it in youtube and you'll surprise until you'l like it. ~CADD education~

Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) is 1 Credit Hour-subject that I have to take in this last semester of my final year degree. This entry also is one of the assignment which need to be done as a way to promote CADD...

CADD is one of the Bioinformatics study that use computational method to stimulate drug-receptor interactions. Bioinformatics is the application of information technology and computer science in the field of Molecular Biology. Basically, it deals with analyzing, mapping, aligning and viewing 3-D protein sequences and stuctures. There are seven areas of bioinformatics that support CADD; Virtual High-Throughput Screening (vHTS), Sequence Analysis, homology modelling, similarity searches, drug lead optimization, physicochemical modelling and drug bioavailability and bioactivity.

In first class, I have been thought on searching the protein sequence of organism with ClpP and Lon A peptidase by using MEROPS...Next, similarity searches of that protein sequence and analysis is done by using BLAST...In BLAST, function of the sequence can be identified based on domain and its similarity with other organism can be known by the descriptions.MEROPS will show the peptidase that we want;

In second class, I learned on clustering using ClustalX. Clustering also known as phylogenomics. In ClustalX, known sequence can be clustered together. The clustered sequences will show more nods when they are more similar to each other in the alignment view. The view clustering genomes via Treeview will looks like this;

Besides, I learned the ARTEMIS to know the required sequences in a genome. For example, I copy and paste some of the ClpP sequence with the Lon sequence, to create a genome. Then, this ARTEMIS will provide me the location of those sequences.


In third class, I have been thought on the 3-D view of the BLAST in the Protein Data Bank (.pdb file) using RASWIN software...


All these software need to be learned from the experties theoretically and practically as its very complicated to be understood...The picture below is the example of 3D output view of RASWIN;




Theoretically,the calculation and equation on protein modelling classified into five topics;
1)Molecular mechanics
2)Molecular dynamics
3)Quantum mechanics
4)Energy minimization
5)Molecular Calculation

I love to learn CADD very much and hope that this subject will help me in my future career=)

~GreEn & Me~

Many people especially my friends will definitely know that i am very obsessed with green color. My mother, my twin and the rest of the family also would find something green for my present..its sooo sweet(^_~)..Unfortunately, I also quite jeolous when other people likes it too..my mom, my younger sister, and even some of my friends (well, they know who) starting buying, wearing and admiring the green color, when they are used to love pink, purple and blue...so, with this enviousness, I try to put it positively and think that green is better color than others, so thats why they are liking it too hehe...my hypothesis is 'green color-lover can influence his/her close people to like the color too'...besides it become one of the Prophet's favourite color, what is so special about it? lets explore about it's benefits to health;

GREEN is the master color, associated with the pituitary which is the master gland.
-Useful for overall healing, whether chronic or acute.
-Infections.
-Use green along with turquoise for the treatment of burns.
-Healing of sores, bruises and cuts.
-Promote the release of mucus/phlegm.
-Stimulate the brain.
-Stimulate the digestivesystem.
-Dissolving blood clots.

~My FaMiLy, My lOVe~

On 9th of May 1986, cute chubby twin was born- that was me and my twin Syafawati. We were taken care with full of love by our parent- MAZNI. Their name is same Mazni, interesting right? They are a very loving couple as you can see it. They are my soul, my heart, my love, my spirit, my happiness and my hope. But, ALLAH IS THE HIGHEST INSPIRATION.Thanks to Allah as He grant me such a wonderful parent.

Alhamdulillah, with other 5 siblings, we lived in harmony at our sweet home in Seri Manjung, Perak now. I am the oldest, Nur Syamimi (23), so no wonder why i am very strict and independent compared to others. My soft-hearted twin named Nur Syafawati (23), next is the oldest son in the family, Mohd Syukri (21) who was very responsible-gentleman yet very sensitive. Then, come to Muhd Safwan (18) who always make noise in the house, and very funny-full of imagination person. In contrast, Muhd Syarifuddin (13) is very quite yet likes to smile. I am very concern on him as he seems need more attention and guide that he did not get from his 'busy' brother. I learned from someone who told me that guy at the age of teenagers is likely to involve in social problem and thus, advice and guidance should be given in very careful manner. The most pempered, of course the youngest- Rabiatul Adawiyah (10). When see of her, people usually said, "How come she is very fair?", with chinese-look and that fairness, she was called "Puteri Hang Lipor" and her nickname "Puteri" is maintained until now. Miss all of them very much!(^_^)

~My FYP: Helminthiasis~

When people ask me what is your FYP is all about, i am proudly answered im handling with feces sample even people will usually laughed at me.Its parasitology matters, they may not understand that this study is crucial on estimating the occurance of human's helminth infection. My study is aim to promote the hygiene lifestyle as well as suggesting the treatment and prevention intervention to the public.

So, what is helminth?

According to CDC (2008) Helminth or commonly known as worm when infested a part of the body will cause helminthiasis. There are three main types of helminth that infect human which are Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichura and Necator americanus. Study have shown that poor hygiene and low socio-economic lifestyle are the main risk factors for this disease. Note that high cases identified was in the rural area. I strongly believed people know that to keep healthy, hygiene is the main concern. "Cleanliness is part of ibadah", as stated in one hadith.

In this final semester mood, I not bother more on anything else except to hope that this study will run smoothly even I have to change the topic due to some problem.
